Lindsay Fleming 1920s Dresses

Wow, how come I’ve only just come across the amazing dresses of Lindsay Fleming?  But lucky I did!  I’m blown away by her designs.  Lindsay is a Scottish bridal designer of Celtic, Medieval and Vintage dresses.  Today I’m going to focus on her 1920s designs, but head on over to her website to have a look at her full range.

The Clara is an iconic 1920s flapper style dress which features a dropped waist embellished with crystals and a handkerchief skirt.

This is Mae, a crossover dress with puddle train made from sandwashed silk crepe.  It’s gathered at the hip with a fabric flower adorned with pearls and diamantes.

Bette is made of sandwashed silk crepe, with a gathered lace overskirt, and dropped waist with train.

Greta is a typical 1920s loose fitting dress with a bodice containing a deep ‘V’ lace inset trimmed with pearls and beads. The skirt is overlaid with masses of chiffon panels creating a ‘handkerchief’ hemline.

And finally, Lilian – I adore this 1920s style coat perfect for a winter wedding. Made from sumptuous silk backed velvet, lined with pure silk satin, the cuffs and hem are embroidered in striking silver and adorned with crystals, and the collar is made from soft  ostrich feathers.
