Sanyukta Shrestha gowns

Wow, I can’t believe that I’ve only just come across the stunning gowns of UK couture designer Sanyukta Shrestha.  Many of her gowns are vintage inspired, and her spring 2013 range is inspired by Wallis Simpson.

While I absolutely adore the style of the gowns, I also love that they are ethical and eco-friendly, made with organic, fair trade materials, including silk, hemp and bamboo.

Anyhow, I’ll leave you with a peek at some of her gorgeous gowns – I hope you love them as much as I do!

The stunning Anne dress is an elegant raw silk gown with an art deco inspired brooch at the waist.

The Margie dress is a sheath like halter neck wedding gown with dropped low back and soft flowing skirt flared from the hip.

Stunning Marion is a cowl neckline plunging v-back wedding gown with angled soft collar that flaunts and highlights the delicate area.

Beautiful Pearl is a show-stopping strapless column gown with a soft sweetheart neckline. With glamorous heavy beaded detailing this wedding gown is organic cotton lace.

And finally, the Alice gown, shown with the Alice Overlay, is a silk strapless wedding gown with sweetheart neckline.  The overlay has an enchanting high neck, and the Chantilly lace detailing and delicate buttons at the back echo eras gone by.

Happy New Year to you all!  I hope you had a great festive season, I’m feeling very relaxed and reinvigorated and ready for all that 2012 brings.

I recently came across the beautiful gowns by Deborah Selleck of Melbourne, and just had to share.  Deborah’s designs are inspired by the 1940s and 50s and her signature look is distinctive of a bygone era, one of sophistication and ethereal glamour.

Here is a look at some of her stunning range (I wish I could get married again just to wear one of these gorgeous gowns!).
